This upstairs room with views in three directions was fitted out as a home workspace. With north light on the drawing board, an L-shaped desk arrangement lines with the cill of the low window and extends the full width of the room. Below it are plan chests and storage cupboards and, at one end, a library tower with individual oak shelf boxes that face in different directions conceals a flue from the living room below. The room has a single oak table made of two wide planks (separated to allow for movement) and robust square legs with bases linked at each end. An adjacent store is fitted out for equipment and a printer and has a purpose made oak ladder giving access to a loft space above.
